I wrote this original awhile back and finally got around to putting it together into something I'm proud of. I hope ya'll are doing well and enjoy this too! Also, many thanks to my lovely partner for helping me write some of the lyrics! 🌻 (side note/ fun fact: I posted this tonight because I reference Thursday nights 😁 The lyric had originally said Monday, but I got to perform this piece at a "You Are Going To Die" Zoom which always falls on a Thursday so changed it haha) Lyrics: Sometimes you have to wonder why Do we even try If we’re all gonna --end up dead Meaningless worlds collide Just another lonely Thursday night Chorus So why am I searching for something I can’t find Please stop searching and make something of your fucking time Much of my time finds days in hazy lights Full of younger memories whose mind hadn’t seen so many things And I’m afraid everyones' story has to end Some might get some more time Until memories fade in everyones' minds Chorus Cause we are creators of moments in time You said to me with a twinkling eye And your body’s warm, warm as the sun Lighting my heart, you’re my only one There’s a secret not many will tell The present is the real heaven and hell 3x Every time that I look back I’m not sure how to take it, oh so many changes Not half full, not half empty, just a cup waiting for Contextual meaning, nothing is as its seeming Everyday is a new day, but it won’t quench the burning Souls insufferable yearning So here I am searching for meaning in my mind I won’t stop searching until the day I die
