(30 Jan 2018) Germany's President Frank-Walter Steinmeier laid a wreath on Martyrs' square in Downtown Beirut Tuesday during his second day of his official visit to Lebanon.
At the Martyrs statue in Down Town Beirut, Steinmeier was welcomed by the Lebanese defence minister Yaacob Al-Sarraf where they reviewed the honor guards.
Steinmeier then had a tour in downtown Beirut, he watched the renovated historical buildings that had been destroyed during the Lebanese civil war 1975-1990.
Later in the day, he met Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
