Everything you hear was performed live by twisting knobs and pushing buttons on a eurorack modular instrument. The audio was recorded as a single stream through a stereo output from the instrument. Visuals: This photograph was mutated using style transfer with a deep convolutional neural network. The original photo provided the content while another image provided the style and coloring. I tracked every iteration as the machine attempted to negotiate between these two objectives, style and content. What you are watching is an animation of this process.
