How to replace the rear brake pads on a Subaru Crosstrek, including XV models that may have a few differences but share the same caliper/rotor/pads. These brake pads are surprisingly easy to replace, and the rear brake pads almost have the same directions as the front. In this video, we used EBC brake pads, or more specifically, EBC GreenStuff. After taking off our wheels, we have access to the brake caliper. Remove the 14mm bolts (based on original bolt head sizes) holding the caliper to the bracket, and move the caliper to a location where it won't hang on the brake hose. Remove the old pads, inspect them for irregularities, and put the new brake pads in.
