Bhadar Dam in Saurashtra overflows for the 25th time in 71 years

The Bhadar Dam, the second-largest reservoir in Saurashtra, has recently overflowed for the 25th time in the last 71 years. This overflow brings significant relief to the regions of Rajkot, Jetpur, and Virpur, where water scarcity has been a persistent issue. Additionally, over 40 villages are now benefiting from the overflowing dam. However, authorities are remaining cautious as they have issued alerts for 22 villages, including Jetpur, Gondal, Jamkandorna, and Dhoraji, downstream to ensure their safety and preparedness.
