Mutton Curry | Mutton Thaali Aanam | How to Make Mutton Curry | Mutton Curry Recipe | Mutton Podi Kulambu | Tasty Mutton Curry | South India Style Mutton Curry
Ingredients:
Oil - 4 tbsp
Cinnamon - 2 inches
Cloves - 4 nos
Cardamom - 4 nos
Fenugreek - 1/4 tsp
Cumin - 1/4 tsp
Small onion - 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 tbsp
Chilli - 3 nos
Mutton - 500 gms
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chili powder - 2 1/4 tsp
Water - 3 cups
Salt - as required

Coriander seeds - 1/3 cup
Rice - 1 1/2 tbsp
Cumin - 1 1/2 tbsp
Pepper - 1 1/2 tbsp
Cardamom - 2 nos
Cinnamon - 3 inches
Cloves - 4 nos
Garlic - 8 cloves
Process:
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker
- Add the whole spices, fenugreek and cumin, give a stir.
- Add the small onions and fry on a medium flame for 7-8 mins till golden.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, fry on low flame for 2 mins.
- Add green chili, fry on low flame for 2 mins.
- Add the mutton pieces, fry on medium flame until the mutton is coated well.
- Add turmeric and chili powder, give a stir to coat well on mutton.
- Add 3 cups of water and salt to taste.
- Give a nice stir for 2-3 mins on medium flame, bring it to boil.
- Mix well and close the pressure cooker.
- Pressure cook for 3 whistles.
(or)
- If using instant pot or electric cooker, cook for 12-15 mins.
(or)
- Using other vessels continue to cook until mutton tenders well, this process takes time and cooks for 20-30 mins.
- Once done, add the ground spice masala and give a mix, simmer for 2 mins.
- Add garlic cloves and switch off the flame.
- Leave it for 5-8 mins and serve hot!.
