Methi/Fenugreek Leaves are very good for health, Dal with methi leaves is rich in protiens/iron, vitamins etc.
Methi dal is very easy to prepare, enjoy the simple and tasty receipe and stay healthy.
Ingredients:-
Toor Dal – 150 Grms
Methi/Fenugreek leaves – 1 bunch
Tomato – 3 medium size
Green Chilli – 8 no’s
Turmeric powder – ½ Tspn
Oil – 1 Tbspn
Salt – as per the taste
Turmeric – ½ lemon size (optional)
Mustard Seeds – 1 tspn
Cumin – 1 Tspn
Garlic Cloves – few
Dry Chilli – 3 No’s
Coriander Leaves – few
Onion – 1 small
Coriander – few
Process:-
• Turn on the stove, put pressure cooker and let it heat. Add Toor dal fry it for 2 minutes, add water to it and clean the dal.
• Add chopped tomatos, green chilli, turmeric powder,oil & water and cook for 5 whistles.
• Remove the cooker lid, remove the excess water and add salt to the dal and smash it smothly.
• Add tamarind water (optional) cook for 2 – 3 mintues.
• Seasoning the dal – add oil in a separate pan let it heat then add mustard, cumin/jeera, red chilli, coriander leaves, garlic cloves, onions and fry till golden brown color then add tha dal to this. Garnish with Coriander and serve hot with rice or chapathi.
